Oh trust me I went during early December peak autumn foliage and even though it was vibrant as past years it was stunning. Although that hiked from the Main Street up to Kiyomizu-dera temple was a nightmare for me 🤣😆

My god I wished I had slowed down when I visit Arashiyama, it became my favorite part of Kyoto. if you go a little bit north around 25 minutes from the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest there's this 2 temples that are breathtaking called Adashino Netbutsugi and Otagi Nenbutsugi lovely places, they do get a bit crowded around 11 to 12 pm so coming by 9 or 10 is ideal.
